A Report on “International Conference on Science, Technology, Humanities and Business Management”

Bangkok, 29-30 July 2016

Two days International Conference on Science, Technology, Humanities and Business Management was organized by Society for Research Development (SRD) at Chateau de Bangkok, Thailand. The Conference started with a welcome note by Dr. R. C. Singh, President of the Society.He welcomed all the delegates contributing in this Conference from different corners of the globe and also briefed about the objectives of the conferenceand the vision of the Society.

In his keynote address, Dr. K. Srinivasan, Higher College of Technology,Al Khuwair, Muscat, Oman,discussed the various issues on “Declining oil prices: opportunities for change in GCC countries”. He also highlighted that the next 15 years will be good years for the global economy as the growth of emerging markets will likelybe driven by China, India and Southeast Asia. This is due to three growth drivers: a positive demographicdividend where more people join the workforce; huge catch up opportunity in productivity for emerging marketscompared to the US; and surplus of capital, high saving rates and low debts.

The conference was divided into two technical sessions. The first session was chaired by Dr. Sunantha Prime Teyarachakul, California State University, at Fresno, USA and 12 papers were presented by the delegates in this session. The second sessionwas chaired by Dr. Nikhil Rastogi, IFTM University, India and 11 deliberations were there on different topics covering the theme of the Conference. The delegates from USA, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Oman, Bangkok, Iran and India participated in this Conference.

Among all deliberations, two papers were awarded as best paper (one from for each session). Fromfirst session, the best paper was awardedto Dr. Nikhil Rastogi for his work titled “Optical Simulation of Organic Photovoltaic Device”. Fromsecond session, the best paper award was jointly shared by Dr. Anoop Pandey and Mr. Anuj Kumar for their research paper titled“Application of Porter’s Model and Johnson Cultural Model on Chinese Automobile Sector”.

The Conference concluded with Valedictory session wherein the certificates were distributed to all the participants. Mementos were also given to the Session Chairs. Dr. R. Kumar, Member of Society,proposed a vote of thanks to all delegates, Organizing and Technical Committees for smooth conduct and huge success of ICSTHBM-16. The two day proceedings of the Conference was nicely and successfully managed by an active member of the Society Mr. RohitKhokher.
